After looking at a lot of choices for winches and mounts. I chose the Warn 4500 with the synthetic cable and the Warn mount. I think the mount looks just like the Honda mount in the instructions. Installation was simple for the winch. It took a while to loom my cables but it all turned out well and tucks in nice and tight. I installed the plug for the remote cable under the drivers side wheel well.

Nice work MFG. Clean wire run. What kind of split loom is that you used?

I have a KFI Stealth 4500 that was on my RZR for nearly 5 years. Was an internal mount and submerged.... a lot. Recently, the freespool selector knob seized. I removed it and found a lot of grease/mud mixture in there. Gleaned it out and greased it. Worked great... for one ride.

Bought an HMF external winch mount bumper to raise the winch about a foot, while making it easier to get to. Installed a SATV 4500lbs, which has been great so far.

So... I'm disappointed there's no external winch mount bumpers for the Talon yet, and the KFI was pretty darn good considering what it went through. Still have it, and will mess with it when I have time.

It is not a split loom, that is why it takes a while to get your wires run though it but it looks factory when finished.

I went with the "tried & true" Warn Pro Vantage 4500 w synthetic rope, it's an older design but extremely durable. I have a PV2500 on the Donkey that's been on 3 other machines and is 15 years old, I've never had an issue with it.

very nice installation. Harry have a factory winch installed but I would like to install the rocker switch kit and I can't seem to find where to get it. Could you help?

The switch and adapter are available from this site. He has a store on the main front page of this site. The prices are great and the shipping is fast. That is where mine came from.

I installed the 5500 on a 2020 X4 LV on the stock bumper and it fit like a glove...the 4500’s probably no different...

Yes sir, that’s the one. A very stout mount that fit very well....

To a Blue Sea marine fuse block I installed under the hood. It would be the very small red wire on the left.

I have the Honda accessory winch and front bumper (winch by warn) and they're really well built. Very happy.
