Light Bar Mounting Location (& Justification)?

I am kinda thinking to stay away from roof because I'm worried about it getting beat up by overhead obstructions.

I'm hesitating a hood mount, because I'm concerned about glare coming off the hood and distracting from overall light throw.

The bumper seems like the smartest decision. It'll be low so it won't give much of a halo affect when any dust is kicked up. There'll be no glare off the hood. Zero field of view obstruction for small passengers.

Any advice/input on any of this?

The hood is the best because the roof and bumper has the biggest chance for damage. If I would put the light bar on the roof it would not fit in my garage. If I would put the light bar on the bumper in tall weeds and deep water the light bar would not help very much.

Out of the 3, put it on the bumper, not sticking out but flush, you will be fine.
Use a 1000 Watt head lamp, it will light up your would, but your back will hurt from the battery weight.

Sounds like you already have it figured out where you want it. I have mine on the bumper but sitting back a few inches to protect it. So far I have not damaged and I am by no means easy on it.

That's a 42 inch curved, it matches the curve of the stock bumper pretty good.

The more I look, read, and see demos, it looks like I'll go with a 42" curved and mount it on the front of the top bar/roof.

I do not have any experience with atv/utv(s) but I'm considering relocating to Utah. I'm taking a trip out there at the end of the month to make the decision. That said if I move to Utah the first thing I will do is buy a P5 Limited Edition. I have been doing months of research (obsessed) about the mods I will install. Only speaking from research I don't see how a decent light bar could get seriously damaged by hitting small branches. I could not believe what these light bars can take in these manufactures torture tests! Also, It seems to me the roof mount produces a better light pattern. My plan would include a 52” curved combo roof mount, a 12” or 24” combo (that can change to amber for foul weather) mounted as low as possible (protected by the larger bumper/grill guard), a 12” wide angle flood for the rear that will use the backup alarm circuit and also a manual toggle. Maybe small corner lights and maybe some ground lighting tied into the interior lights.
