Up next was the winch, front bumper, and limb risers. The winch was a lot easier than I thought. Step one was to throw away the OEM instructions and do it my way.

Up next with be the PDM and installation of the rest of the electrical accessories. Then it will be time to move to a lift, tires, skids, and who knows what else. This forum has cost me to much money trying to keep up with everyone, especially @JACKAL and @Whiskey.

Just in case someone wanted to see more detail about the OEM PDM.

It was nice having the pre-made switch panel, especially since I wanted to install a radio may run out of room. This setup was pre-wired to the back of the switch panel which made it easy.

Now for the Bussman PDM. Not sure how I will like this set up but I tried it anyway. It's installed on the backside of the glove box. If I had to access it often, I would not put it here. However, I don't plan on replacing fuses often do it may be ok. We will see, at least it helped keep under hood area somewhat clean.

You can see in this pic that I can still remove the cover and access the fuses

Here's a view from inside the glovebox.

Got around to mounting the light today. It's a little much, I'll admit. Well, I think it's a little much until it's dark and I turn it on. At idle, the volts are 13.6 so it's not too bad.

Then I got around to putting on a snorkel. I've been thinking of how I wanted to do this for a while. I've seen several different ways that other people have snorkeled their P1000 and they had good ideas but it just wasn't what I was looking for.

I didn't want to cut the fender because it would be a pain to change if I wanted to sell it one day and the new owner didn't want it. Also, I didn't want warranty issues. The last thing was I didn't want the noise inside the cab so I didn't want it in there.

So, I decided to go thru the hood. There are no other mods to the vehicle. I can remove the snorkel and put a new hood on and no one will ever know.

I ended up powder coated the tube. I haven't had my powder coat out in a couple years.

Looks good man I like it. Show some night pics in the woods when you get a chance. Also how hard is it to get the hood off with the light bar on?

It sounds meaner. I like it. Maybe it will help with the power when I put larger tires on.

Night pics will be coming in soon.

I cut the hole a little large in the hood and used some soft foam edging so it actually comes off easy. But that's after you remove the scoop at the top. As far as the light bar, it doesn't slow you down at all removing the hood.

Here's the clearance between the hood and light bar

Also mounted the horn, it's not wired up yet as I will need to make a new switch plate for it.

I think it will be loud! I always find myself trying to get the attention of other riders in the group, now I can.
