Another thing about the $1400. It's not just a lift. It's high clearance arms and forward arched arms. That helps a little more but it still hurts.

The Trail Armor came in today. It's a quality product for sure. I too am a little upset that it doesn't come up very high. I am considering fixing that soon.

I didn't show the pic of it but I like how the skid plate comes out under the doors further than the frame. It will probably just collect mud but maybe it will offer more protection.

The wheels and tires came in today as well. The wheels I like but the tires will be returned.

I've been promoting the Blackwater Evos for a while now. There are several other members that are very happy with them too. The load rating is great, built in rim guard, made in the USA, over an inch of tread depth, 8ply with tough sidewalls, true the the advertised size, etc.

My old P700 had 28x20-14 and they measured 28.25 mounted with the weight of the vehicle on them. The side wall was strong and made the vehicle corner better. I've got 4 other friends with them now and they all love them.

Naturally, when your this happy with something you should make the same purchase again....right? So, my 30x10-14 Blackwater Evos came in today. They looked too small when in put them next to the stock tires, not like a 30" tire should look. I went ahead and mounted one anyway. The measurements are below....

Same tire, same location but now 6psi. This is the same height as the 28" Evos I had before!

Ok, no rubbing while sitting still and no driver in the front seat. This pic is showing the wheel turned all the way.

Don't know if you answered this already, but where did the snorkel scoop come from?

Search Amazon for snorkel. You should be able to find it. If not, let me know and I'll look at my order history.

How exactly did you make those rear axle front of bed mudflaps under the bed. not the ones on the side. You will find out that with the trail armour skids that if that is not installed pounds and pounds of mud will sit there till you scoop it out!!!!

@Bonehead69. The only modifications that I made to the mudflap is the extension at the rear bed. Here is a picture of it below.

The rest of what you see in the picture is either factory original or came with the kit from mud buster.

Factory tires are not 27" they are 25.5".

But put true 30" tires on and try hitting a bump at 40 mph and tell me what happens after you change pants. or give it a hard left turn full lock and hit a bump, you might get to inspect your skid plates again without the aid of a lift. I will tell you true 30" tires will not fit with or without a lift and be drivable over 5 mph.

Now what to do! I've got two sets of awesome tires in the shop. Which one do I choose??

The Evos are ~10 pounds lighter and 1" shorter.

The Roctanes are 1" taller but that comes at a cost of 10lbs

The round profile of the Evos help it track straight and ride smooth but the Roctanes flat profile has a larger contact patch.

Both have rim guards, both are 8 ply and feel like they have the same sidewall stiffness. (Tested scientifically by pressing thumb into it). Both measure a true 10" wide.

Please help me decide.

I should have put a disclaimer in my post. Those tires would surely need a lift. I was just joking around.

I agree that a true 30" tire will require forward A-arms and lift to fit.

Check this pic, the OEM tires tires will stuff all the way to the fenders. 30" tires would have ripped the front off the pioneer!

I think it would decide on the mud/Hard pack factor. More mud evo's...more hard pack Roctanes.

I got one mounted with 14psi and it now measures 29.5". I'm pissed that they are advertised to be 30.4. I want to run 6-8 psi. It will take some testing to find the best pressure but at that pressure they are 29".

I got a set of them 28 x 10 Roctane XD on the way from RMATV, they took my 30.5" Roctanes back, little did I know the would be 5" taller that the 25.5" actual 27" stamped OEM tires. Never will I trust a molded sidewall again after that one being 1.5" smaller that printed.

I agree. For comparison, here's some pics.

The Evos have larger voids and deeper lugs which would be better for mud. (I never ride in mud though)

The Roctanes should last longer with the tighter tread pattern and grab hard pack better.
