Remember this pic when both tires were compared? They're pretty close to the same.

Interested to see the install process on the CATVOS suspension set up. If the ride quality is unchanged and you are happy with the product fitment and install as a whole, I will probably order them next Monday.

No pressure, but you better get on it!

In first pic, are those mounted tires? Love the flatter profile on the right. For now I'm pretty impressed with the Bighorns so no plans to swap tires. One of y'all changing tires needs to sell me your takeoffs. I want a 2nd set to swap over whenever I make her street legal. My daughter would love being picked up from school in the 1000 lol. School is less than 2 miles away with top speed of 40mph so safety isn't really a concern.

In the first pic, both tires are unmounted. Further up in the thread I had one EVO tire mounted and took some pics and measurements.

I bet you can find some pull-offs, I will be keeping mine for work around home and not wear out the play set.

As far as the flat profile of the tires go, it for sure looks better and probably grabs rocks and hard pack better. It could be my imagination but it seems to me that the flat profile tires ride rougher and transmit more bump steer back to the driver. The more rounded tire has more give in it when it hits obstacles on the trail and seems to track straighter. Again, this is not proven and could be all in my head. When in the mud, the profile doesn't seem to matter much.

Here's a pic of both tires unmounted. The Roctanes have been stretched for over a week and now it shows. When I took the first pic, they were the same height.

EVO before mounted, just a hair over 28"

EVO with 20 psi. (For the worry worts, the tire max operating pressure is 32)

I'll leave it inflates to 20 all day in the shop at 60° and see what it measures later.

It sounds real good. I use some large rubber backed washers on the top so it does not leak. It is extremely sturdy, the ridges in the roof add strength right where the sound bar is mounted.

I bought it on Amazon. They are pretty expensive, but I tried the cheap route with my pioneer 700 and couldn't hear it very well. I can hear this one running 50 miles an hour.

Got time today to work on the front bash plate. It looks a little too unprotected.

So, I got this from McMaster Carr

After a little bending, drilling, routering, and countersinking I come up with this.

Now I've got protection for the lower part of that expensive OEM bumper.

I did use impact grade UHMW polyethylene.

Thanks for the comment, I still need to put one more screw in the Trail Armor skid. In the pic you can see a lip that could cause a hang up.

@JACKAL. Here's the product I used. McMaster Carr is the place and the part number is in the pic.

I like how that worked out for you, can you post a link when you have time of where you bought the material? I have already tweaked my OEM steel in front of the skid plate would like to prevent further damage.

Looking good! @joeymt33 When you have time I am curious as to the overall width of the front end using the new A-Arms, with the OEM a arms on 5+2 offset wheels and 10" wide tires it should be 66" wide just wondering if it is wider or narrower with that set up.

It's very close to 66" wide in the front. I didn't measure the back tho. I used a 1" spacer in the back so it's very close to the front, maybe just a hair wider.

I haven't had much seat time but I did get to test out the acceleration with the 30" Roctanes

In the pic below you can see that a hard launch squealed the tires on concrete!

Here's a video of acceleration.

BTW, all pictures of the Roctanes after the lift are inflated to 7psi. They seem to be soft and ride good. In the pictures, they don't look low at all.

B2a52c1d72ba39ebbd7258fd2a65ab3f

They measure 28.5" tall with 7psi and the pioneer weight on it.

Now, everyone wants to know about the top speed. I do not have the cutting out problem that others have talked about.

I did verify with gps that it will go 59mph on pavement with the windshield on. That's 55 on the speedo.

I bet it will break 60 with the front windscreen and rear panel removed.

How did you get the winch in/out to stay light up? What brand is that switch? I went with an STV one, 7 pin DPST. Can't figure out if it will stay lit like that. Upper or lower light up when you push on it. Looks odd having all the switches lit, but one.
