I didn't want something mounted permanently. I use this pioneer a lot for working around the homestead. So, I made it fit into the receiver hitch so I can remove it when it's not needed.

This slides into the hitch so I cannot put a ball in the hitch and use it at the same time as the tire carrier.

I do plan on mounting a tow point to the back of it so I can still have a place to hook a winch or tow rope.

As for the rattling, I did put an attachment point so that I could strap it down to prevent it from rattling. We will see how it goes.

get cable cut to fit so u can push on tire carrier and hook it then same for other side always the same and u can keep the little cables in glove box or hanging off tire rack already perfect length to take up the slop

Wow, this is a nice build!!! And here I was hoping buying a new 1000 and I would be done spending money for awhile. Now I am making lists and shopping eBay and Amazon for stuff....this is going to get expensive!!!

You've done a wonderful job on this, and given me WAY TOO MUCH INSPIRATION!

Thank you for the compliments. Please be sure to share your build with the group as it will help the next guy along looking for inspiration.

A lot of my inspiration came from seeing what the other guys have done. I have tried to add a little twist to some things to make it original. Sometimes I think I would rather build these vehicles vs ride them.

How do you like the JBL PRV 175 radio?

It's ok, I'm not a stereo guy. I use it for FM radio and Bluetooth my phone to the WetSounds for playlist.

I really don't use it much. Sorry I can't give a good review. I can say that it seems to be distortion free and I have hosed it down when washing the pioneer and it still works.

Thanks, all I needed to know. I have stereo capabilities on both my motorcycles, and have ridden several Iron Butt rides and never turned it on. Would be nice to have it around camp, but then again, I'll have my truck there too. Stereo is going to be low priority, but always researching...

Thanks again.

I wasn't completely sure so I just extended the fan motor vent up under the hood.

Those are high as giraffe cooter. It looks like the arctic cat bellows are ~$6
