I was thinking No GOOD till I saw the side view real nice great Idea!!!!! did u happen to leave reese chanel open ended so u could still put on a tiger tail or hook or ball? Im very interiested to see how it does after some shake rattle and hopefully not roll lol please post how it did after a good ride
get cable cut to fit so u can push on tire carrier and hook it then same for other side always the same and u can keep the little cables in glove box or hanging off tire rack already perfect length to take up the slopThis slides into the hitch so I cannot put a ball in the hitch and use it at the same time as the tire carrier.
I do plan on mounting a tow point to the back of it so I can still have a place to hook a winch or tow rope.
As for the rattling, I did put an attachment point so that I could strap it down to prevent it from rattling. We will see how it goes.
Wow, this is a nice build!!! And here I was hoping buying a new 1000 and I would be done spending money for awhile. Now I am making lists and shopping eBay and Amazon for stuff....this is going to get expensive!!!
You've done a wonderful job on this, and given me WAY TOO MUCH INSPIRATION!
How do you like the JBL PRV 175 radio?
Thanks, all I needed to know. I have stereo capabilities on both my motorcycles, and have ridden several Iron Butt rides and never turned it on. Would be nice to have it around camp, but then again, I'll have my truck there too. Stereo is going to be low priority, but always researching...It's ok, I'm not a stereo guy. I use it for FM radio and Bluetooth my phone to the WetSounds for playlist.
I really don't use it much. Sorry I can't give a good review. I can say that it seems to be distortion free and I have hosed it down when washing the pioneer and it still works.
@joeymt33
Once I find some money and use it to order the skid plate I'm going to borrow your bash plate idea. oh.. and the spare tire idea too. haha.
Cant wait to see your machine at the takover.
is the 1/4 inch bellow that u use on the diffs and trans going to work on the radiator fan motor as well has anyone tried that etc etc
but quarter in on all others? the link u sent for the bellows wasn't active before. I can't believe how expensive they are with shipping 60 bucks or so for 3
