How do I determine the length of a limiter strap? Rear shocks in the air are 20" eye to eye and 18" on the ground. Front shocks in the air are 20" eye to eye and 19.5-19.75" on the ground. These are the lengths with commander shocks.

I just installed the Can-Am Commander Max "black spring " shocks on my 19 700-2. The front sits at 19" eye to eye on the ground and 22" in the air. While in the air I rotated the tires and could feel the CV bearings binding in the cups. After raising a arms about 1/2" the binding went away. On the rears the the eye to eye is 18 1/4" on the ground and in the air couldn't reach full droop because the upper a arms hit the shock body. I had a guy who knows SXS's like the back of his hand, verify this and make measurements. Ended up ordering me 19" limiter straps all around. They are a 4 play 12,000lb rated strap guaranteed not to stretch more than 1/4" So basically if you don't feel any thumping in the tires while at full droop, you should be good to go. If you do feel it, raise suspension until it goes away and measure eye to eye and subtract about an inch.

Used 10mm×100mm bolts on front with 1½" long spacers, washers and nylon lock nuts.
Rear I used 12mm×100mm bolts and 9 washers as a spacer per bolt, topped off by nylon lock nuts. If you haven't gotten your straps yet, message Craig Folmar at 814utvsuspension.com. get his 19" straps. They come with the hardware and cost as much, if not less than outsourcing everything yourself. Also, the hardware I mentioned is for both top and bottom mounts.
