Floor length of eighteen feet and with enough height to comfortably load.
Make sure it's wide enough to be able to get in and out, too ... unless you don't mind crawling over seats and out the back (or going out the front window). 7.5' minimum. If you have the vehicle to pull it, just go with a 8.5' wide car hauler. Otherwise, look for one with a SXS 'escape hatch' on the driver' side.Floor length of eighteen feet and with enough height to comfortably load.
E-Track for tying down for the win.Yes, seems like the biggest thing is having the height. I get the part about getting in or out of the sxs. Front door and rear ramp for tying it down too.
@Dirtstiffs-1000 - I've got e-Track the full length of the trailer for the SXSs but I'm going to install the Erickson version of your tie downs for a golf cart with a narrower track. I believe it's around 1,100#. Are you using four of these per vehicle (one @ each tire) or just two? I won't be dragging it across country like the Talon or P1K5, just around town. Box that covers 2 wheels says vehicles up to 1,500# so I'm thinking just two.20 foot Pace Outback - Tandem

Fortunately, I have a public scale nearby where I spent a couple hours figuring out tongue weight, sweet spots. 1 machine and cargo tie down, then 2 machines with cargo. I tow with a 2024 Cummins 1 ton, which takes a lot of front trailer weight for the 10 to 15% rule.
I also added an equalizer hitch with dual sway control.
Pulls great!

Danke.@Scoop
In my cargo, I'm using just two chalks on the front for each sxs, as the trailer also has 8 + floor anchors to supplement ratchet straps, for tieing down the rear.
With straps, 2 chalks on the front is plenty.
2 chalks should be fine for your cart.
if important -
The green ones are rated slightly higher than Erickson as I remember.
Plan on buying better hardware.
We have a 7x14 flat bed with Erickson chalks at all 4 wheels.
if I ever flipped it over, I'd bet the trailer would be tied to the sxs.
I also add nutserts in the backup plates mounted under the floor supports, so I can remove and reinstall the chalks quickly if I need more floor space.
Plug the holes with the bolts when not in use
I've thought about adding etrack, just thought too many fasteners and underside anchor points..IDK
Good luck
Bitte, Gern geschehenDanke.
I'll probably just go with 2 up front then throw a strap on from the back to an anchor point (or etrack ring) just for extra measure.
I like the idea of nutserts, too. I have some pretty thick steel plate that I can cut up with the plasma cutter and make some backing plates.
