Got the new wheels and tires installed. Went with the Method 411 bead retention wheels with 5+2 offset and 1.5 inch spacers in rear. Stoked together out and ride. Looks beefier for sure and now I can rotate the tires and run a spare.

Nice. I have the same wheels with red lugs. We’ll see how long the red lugs hold up but man they look good. I went with a 30 inch ITP black waters and love them other than I already punctured the sidewall and hopefully I can repair it. It’s pretty close to the bead, Any advice if I could repair it or just get a new tire.

Man that sucks on the sidewall. Most the time close to the bead it requires and new tire long term. I bet the red lugs look sweet with the red machine!

I did the same thing a couple years ago. First time out with a brand new set of tires. The cords were still intact so I put a patch over the cut on the inside, put a tube in it and swapped it out with the spare. Worked great as a spare but that is all I would use it for.

If any of the cords are cut, I would not use it even for a spare.

I have repaired a big cut on a new tire twice. A big patch on the inside and a tube allowed me to wear them out. When you have a spare there is no problem running a repaired tire that has a hole too big to be plugged. If the damage is big enough to have a bulge its best to just replace the tire.

When you have a few miles on them can you give some feedback?

Curious as to ride on and off road, and noise level on road.

Factory tires on my R drowned out the engine at highway speeds.

Always been a fan of BFG. I need to make a decision soon on tires...

You bet. Hoping to get it out this weekend and will report back. Around the neighborhood they handle well! Lol. Definitely heavier combo with the tires and wheels than stock but most beefier aftermarkets are.

I really like the wheels. With the bead retention they are suppsed to hold the tire on 40% better than traditional rims and I didn't feel I needed a full beadlock. These are lighter too. I dont believe they have a 6+1 offset but these 5+2 are actually a 38mm offset so really like a 5.5x1.5. I picked them up from kj motorsports online. They where a real bear to get the tires to seat just an fyi. My tire guy was really cuzzing me! Lol

Thank you so with your offset are you wider than stock and can you rotate your tires from front to rear and did you have to run a wheel spacer.

I am just about stock width. Between 64 ish and 65 both front and back. 7 inch rims with 30x9.5x15. Yes I ran 1.5 inch spacers in the back and plan to rotate my tires and run the same tire/rim for a spare.

I just put these on my 1000-3.
15x7 Method 409 Beadgrip wheelsa 5x2 backspacing with 28x10x15” Kamati Mongrel Tire’s. I ordered as a set and they came mounted. Added 1” spacers to the rear. Huge difference.

Looks great!! I was very close to going with the 409s instead of the 411s but chose the latter. Both are great wheels and a nice upgrade for sure.
