Has anyone found a nice complete wrench and socket set JUST metric in a compact hard case to use on the trail????
Trying to find a fairly complete set where everything has a spot. Don’t like multiple kits or things separated because it’s too easy for us to loose or find especially at night. But everything I can find has the added bulk and weight of SAE.Throw together your own!
How deep do you want to go with trailside repairs? CV shafts? Clutches etc?
Not needing too much.
Bondhus metric allen keys.
DBE or combination wrenchs in 8/10/12/14/17/19mm.
Same with sockets.
Personally I keep a set of snappy semi deep metric sockets in 3/8's on the honda with a few ratchets.
I don't carry wrenches. I have decided to go with Knipex parallel jaw wrenches, which replaces wrenches for field use.
What are you using to store tools in?Here are a few socket set options. Would still need to supplement allan keys, pliers etc.

That’s my current route. Why the hell does anyone still make anything other then metric!?I picked up a HF set and then pulled out what I didn't need, then put it in a FAT50 ammo can under the seat along with everything I couldn't fit in the rear door storage, so far no moisture has gotten in there(I don't drive through water deeper than 10" though)

They have us made and Taiwan stuff. The US made is as good as snap on for less money and a lifetime warranty. Even the foreign stuff is lifetime warranty and better than most. I bought the cheap version to take on rides so I'm not so sad if its lost or stolen. You dont want to be stranded with complete POS tools.I think that’s who makes Snap On lower line Bluepoint.
