Just curious as to the recommended tools specific to the Talon that I should have on the machine. Socket sizes, torx, Allen etc. Thanks!

Welcome from the once great state of Colorado. We'll need pics, it's da rulz.

I haven't seen a Talon specific tool thread but I just carry the same basic tools I've used on every Japanese motorcycle that I've owned for the last 5 decades. You'll probably want a spanner that you can use to adjust your spring preload (for adjusting your ground clearance as the springs take a set). There's a link in the NTO thread for my 2 R - not sure if the LV uses the same diameter preload collars or not.

If you follow along on the site, you'll pick up what you'll need by the time that new Talon needs to meet up with any tools.

There's a lot of good info in these two threads -

Welcome to the site!

What @CID is saying is legit. You will find more general trail ride tool / parts recommendations.

Be careful….some advocate for bringing the entire garage of tools…others are okay with a roll of duct tape, few beer cans, and 3 zip ties.

Beyond those threads. Only change is for the axle nut. Need a 36mm for the 2023 (not s) Live Valve.

Axle nut.
2019-2021 = 30mm
2022 and 2023 (s model) = 32mm
2023 and 24 (not s) = 36mm

Yes, it's ChinaZon, but $35 gets the entire set and case. I've tested a couple real good.

SUNKPMCKP 1/2" Drive Deep 6-Point Impact Socket Set, 9-Piece METRIC Spindle Axle Nut Impact Socket Set, Cr-Mo, 29mm - 38mm
