So, I have one buddy telling me go mongrels and another saying terrabites. I want the best riding tire I can get and also get some durability. I see that the Mongrels are a couple pounds lighter, but also are a 10 ply vs an 8ply on the terrabites. I assume the Mongrels will ride rougher? Any first hand knowledge would be awesome as I really need to upgrade from my stock tires before they pop way back in the middle of BFE.
Thanks guys

If you are stuck between those 2, you should really consider the Quadboss QBT846. Great tires as well

I'm not really stuck, just seems like those are 2 tires that have good reviews. I also need some new wheels, any input on beadlocks vs. no beadlocks.

No help on tires but I would do the beadlock reason less air in tire more comfortable ride. After going to the takeover it would be a must if I ever get new wheels.

Beadlocks are nice. They are durable and allow lower tire pressure. They are quite a bit more maintenance but they can be repairable on trail if you get a flat.

Those berserkers look pretty slick. I do not like the price tag on them tho. haha. What's the weight on those comparable to the other 2 I listed above?

Check out tensor regulator. Steel belted, I believe the 28" weighs in around 38lbs but durable as the come.

They run half off sales often.. follow them on Facebook if you’re not in a hurry.

I would probably give them a go for half off. I assume you are pretty happy with them. Many miles on them?

Several miles from Moab to East TN.. @Kilo427 @Plumber32 and myself are running them and I think everyone has been pretty happy and very surprised with how well they do in about any terrain. Are you looking at 28’s or 30’s?

28's. My machine is stock with fox shocks. I noticed they have 28x10r12. I need some new wheels as well and really like the idea of 12" for ride quality. The negative to 12" wheels is, I will be severely crippled on future tire choices if I decide on 12"

That’s what I would do if I were staying with stock a arms... 12” beadlocks and 28” berserkers!

I had the tensor 28x12 was a real nice setup. The berserker has proven to be a great choice. If they make a 28x12 I'd strongly consider it. 12" wheels are nice for the ride and hold up to rocks and pinch flats better than a 14".

Fun fact. There is no standard to how companies give ply ratings to utv tires. They can call it whatever they want.

I've been really impressed with the standard Terrabites on @joeymt33 rig.

I’ve been running the regulators as well. I have the 28x10x14 all around with 5/2 off set. and they run great! Street legal and no road noise from them when driving 65mph down the highway. Eats up all the seep snow in the winter haven’t gotten even close to being stuck w/them. Have 1500+ miles on them and no noticeable wear. Rocky Mountain atv had the best price I found

I'm wheel and tire illiterate. Looking to get the Quadboss QBT486 and new rims. Should I stick to 14" rims like the stock on my '16 deluxe or would 12s be fine? Sometimes if I'm going to be way out it'd be nice to bring one of my old stocks so I have a spare tire just in case. I would imagine I should have all the rim sizes the same for that.
Been looking at rims and all these damn numbers are greek to me.
First, in terms of tires, can I do 30x10x14 on all 4? Or should I stick to the 27x9x14 for front and 27x11x14 for rear?
Then, what the hell does 14x7 0+mm mean on rims? Or 14x7 +10? 14x7 5+2? Or any variation thereof? Basically, what damn rim size do I need for those tires? Frustrating as hell! Haha!
