@CID and I did the Montana Mountain loop today, started at the OHV lot in Gold Canyon, AZ.

Beautiful! But trails, we call those dirt roads here in NW Arkansas, the back way to the LS back to the house is rougher than that. Did you hit any real trails?

It's technically a Forest Service "road"...and yes, it can be driven by a stock jeep with ease when dry. 1-2 sections are mildly rutted. Montana mtn is more about scenic value.

I should also add that Montana mtn gets you up to 5000+ feet, and feels real nice on those 105 degree days down in the valley.

Toward the top, I had to put my sweatshirt on and lower the windshield to get some heat in me. 🥶 It was hot at the bottom though. 🥵

Yep, the county road at my camp in MO is rougher than that ...... lol

As DG Rider said, Montana Mountain is all about the scenery. There is no shortage of "real" trail here and everything in between.
