I sold my 2016 P1000-5D six months after buying it (primarily due to it literally blistering my back from the heat), but now my needs (riding my five German Shepherds around with me) have brought me back to the Pioneer (My Kubota will haul them, but is limited to 25 MPH and takes about three days driving downhill to reach it). My local dealer just got in a red 2020 Pioneer P1000-5D that's not even assembled yet, but he wants to charge me full retail of $18,199 despite that its currently 30F degrees and snowing here in Montana. I seem to remember buying my 2016 around $1000 below MSRP and that was when the design wasn't long in the tooth like it's getting today. I told him that I'm not buying at MSRP, and he told me to make him an offer.
I want to be fair; I don't want to pay too much for something but I don't want to pay too little for it, either. So, what's fair to both me and the dealership?
Thanks, I'm excited to be coming back to the Pioneer.
