Funny thing is, if I had gone into another line of work when I did real estate, I’d be almost to retirement. 15 years in.
Sure, that’s fine to have a career that provides you a retirement date. But IMO, working on through is the best, whatever that is. I’ve been self employed most my life, I have a bunch of stuff to still do. My uncle, at 94 was very active to the end, when they came to get him at his cabin where he was still wheelbarrowing his own firewood into the house, and take him to the nursing home, where he passed 6 weeks later, he said, no, I won’t go, I still have too much to do....lol.

Yup.. I’d like to travel more but I can’t imagine not having something to do. Granted the farms and all keep a guy busy. But it’s just different.

Btw, you can retire very comfortable working real estate. As I suppose one can in many different occupations. But back to what you said at the beginning of this, keep doing something, keep active, and live long. 👍👍

You NEVER get it all done. Even if you live to be 100 in good health, you will still leave something unfinished. I learned to accept that long ago and it make life much easier.

Your right that you never get it all done brother..😊

when I think about all my uncles, they always worked till the end, I’m going to aspire to that. I love work. But I agree with you. 👍

No pension or 401k or health insurance though... it all comes out of my pocket. But yes.. I can’t complain, most days.
I hear you on that. My retirement is in real estate. I’m just not a stock market guy.
