I said I wouldn't snorkel my ride, but I been reading where going through shallow puddles at high speed will make it induce water. So I thought I better do it!

Looks good. Now just throw some frogzskin on the inlet and hit the trails/puddles

No. the stuff is really awesome. Free flowing for air but won't letter water in. (Unless you submerge it and the vacuum from the intake pulls it in). Will also keep out bigger debris from entering the snorkel.

Negative. But I can put my hand over it and the motor dies.

Does anyone think just putting this frogzskin cover over the intake would solve the splash issue without any further modification? In other words, is the pipe extension even necessary with the frogzskin? I don't really go very deep in my Pioneer, but after reading some of these horror stories, I'm worried about splashing while duck hunting and riding.

I used the pipe to get away from the chance of water getting thrown up by the radiator fan, which seems to be the issue for the water entering the air intake. Tried to minimize the chances.

I have a question? What size rubber garment did u guys use on the hood for the hood snorkel? The pipe is 3" I know but wasn't sure If you want that a tight fit or a loser fit?

Looser fit would probably be a little easier. Mines pretty tight and it makes it tougher but I used a black rubber door edge molding

I haven't cut the hole yet, did you use a 3" or 3-14" hole saw for that cut? Hate to ask this probably a 2nd or 3rd time, but I can't find it on here! Or my brain is in lazy land lol
