I have been lurking for a while and figured it was time to say hello. I am retired and live in a mountain community in California. I plan on buying a Pioneer 700-2 Deluxe after the first of the year to use as a work mule. I have broken 1 Jeep and still have a FJ with 210K miles on it so I am pretty familiar with the whole buy, modify, break, repair, modify, some more thing. In another life I used a Polaris Ranger four seater for work. Strangely enough I was never able to break it. I borrowed my son-in-law's Ranger 700 this last summer to work on our small hilly property and afterward, knew I needed a SxS. We have driven Hondas for 40+ years so I started looking there first. And after learning the differences between brands decided Honda was the way to go for our needs.
I have looked at the 1000-3 both new and used but have decided the 700-3 Deluxe would better fit our needs and budget. I have spent my time here reading all of the almost 4K of threads in the 700 forum as well as a lot in the 1000 forum. I appreciate all of the information shared here. I will post a picture when I obtain a ride.
