Long list:Congrats and welcome! What do you have planned?
Well that’s not that hard, two different machines with different applications. So the biggest difference is size, I already miss whipping the p5 through tight trails and the paddle shifters. The seats in the p5 kept you lower to the ground and had an overall different feel but that’s where it ends. The 700 is HUGE!!! I am impressed with how smooth the transmission shifts, the ride is day and night different and being able to haul the whole family is great. Still being easy on the skinny pedal since I’m only up to 8 miles but it feels like she’s got some power. I have to say it’s quite the machine.Congrats!
Compare and contrast?
LOL...just wanted to make sure i wasn't crazy.Well that’s not that hard, two different machines with different applications. I agree, the suspension accompanied with short wheel base and width makes the p5 a very rigid machine. To me the engine is quiet on the 700 compared to the p5 but the rattling of the doors and seats in the rear do produce some significant noise.LOL...just wanted to make sure i wasn't crazy.
You'll learn to love that size and the ride and capability that comes with it. I used to complain that the 700 didn't ride that great...but now having a 500, i will never do that again. I honestly think a 500 is quieter (as far as cab noise), but i think that full roof over the cargo bed causes a disadvantage in that regard on the 4 seater ( or to put it another way, a 700-2 might be as quiet or quieter).
I love it so far, it’s like night and day different though.I to went from a 500 to a 700 it's a lot smoother on the trail l like it much better and I'm sure you will too.
I agree, the only thing I can complain about is the tranny noise, it sounds like she has some driveline slack to me. A great machine overall. These 700's are great machines !! I think the ride and handling are very good for a utility s x s. The engine is quiet and very torquey. I plow with mine and it handles the deep Vt snow storms with no trouble. The next big improvement I want to make to mine is power steering. Have fun with your new toy !!
