It's no secret I'm a Honda fanatic. So when I decided I wanted to ride again I started browsing CL. I test rode a couple different shadows but they just didnt feel "right". Then a local ad for a Vulcan caught my eye. Pics looked good and only 9500 miles. Went and rode it and fell in love almost instantly. I have never had a bike fit me like this one. It's in immaculate shape for an 03 and rides like a dream. I'm still a Honda man but one with a Kawi in the closet lol.

Hey now that ain't nice!! You don't hear me insulting your stuff lol. Seriously though, it's a sure bet you'll never see one of those parked at my house. I can see images in my side view mirrors going down the road. And this one will still be running this time next year lol.

The newer Harleys are fine and reliable. Is there any other motorcycle than a harley?

Does Harley still make bikes??

They're the equivalent of a Polaris Atv/SxS. Tons of people buy them, but they're a pile of $h!t!

The newer ones may be better, but I have worked on the older models and I still can't believe they didn't go bankrupt (although AMF almost did it). The quality was a disgrace to American craftsmanship.

I've had several VRods. I've also had 3 Honda street bikes, 2 kawasakis and a Yamaha. The VRod is hands down the best street bike I've ever owned. Not even close.

Mine Vrod 2005 is on sale now. Just cant get over its vibration and Harley rider position just not for my back, so switched to BMW 1600 GTL, and very happy. My wife likes Vrod on country roads (she get that Harley feeling, whatever call it), but on highway BMW hands down, no vibration, very precise handling and awesome braking, they way they engineered front fork I dont dive anymore.

Nice Vulcan,great shape
I've had Kawasaki's,and all other types of Japanese street and dirt bikes.Got a V Rod as a street bike now, although it looks more like a road glide these days ,even got running boards to help with that back position. All bikes are great,Mine and steves bikes get the wind in your face!

Had the V-rod the first year they came out. Had several other Harley's just to say I did. My heart is still with my Triumph Speed Triple and Triumph Daytona.. they would would flat out scare ya and I've left many a tire on the Cherohala and Dragon during my years of knee and peg scraping

All bikes are great. Had some experience wrenching on mid to late 80s Harley's and guess that's what put a bad taste in my mouth with them lol. I actually ended up quitting the shop in Murfreesboro I worked at cause owner kept shoving them down my throat.
I've put almost 2k miles on the Vulcan in the short time I've owned it. Still love it and still swear it's the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden. Can't say the same for the CBR650. Every now and then I like running up Sewanee mtn on it. May have to drag out my leather pants with the Kevlar knee inserts lol. If y'all know of anyone looking or a midlife crisis, it's for sale.

2014 with only 7700 miles on it. Runs like it just rolled off the showroom floor. These have more midrange torque than the true sport 600s. No waiting til 10k rpms for the power to show up. Anyone interested pm me. Asking payoff 5700.

She went from a gixxer to a hog?? That had to be culture shock lol.
Haha yes we both had Harley's before we met, then got into crotch rockets for some reason. We started traveling more on the bikes, and decided the Harley's were more comfortable and could hold more of her crap she packed. Lol
