P1000 Novice with a winch

I have spots on the Mad Dawg bumper. There are lots of threads on this site where guys have added to the stock bumper.

Just loop the strap on the bumper tube. It’s actually quite strong.

I bent my bumper first trip out getting pulled out by the front bumper. Would not recommend that. Bought a wench shortly there after.

I can’t speak for the newer models, my base model 18 has been beaten like the village bicycle in that manner. Where I strap to is the bar at the end of the red arrow.



Simple search of the site shows a lot of people mounting D rings to the same location and abusing the crap outta it. Green arrow. I don’t have mine on yet ….

Of course you if you put a F350 on the pulling end of your Pioneer in a bad stuck and have the F350 do a full send..well you’re going to bend something…lol

I have a 22 with the new bumper. Figured tying lower would be better but it just bent the sheet metal. Nothing a little hammer therapy couldn’t fix.
