Hi All

I did a google search and I used the Honda compare model tool and was looking for 2015 / 2016 P500 model difference.

I didn't find anything. Am i missing something or are they the same?

Thanks for any assistance!

I think the only difference is color. 2016 dropped olive and yellow and replaced with blue.

X2 no changes other than color options that I have seen same MSRP $8,499 for both 2015 & 2016.

Ok thanks for the responses. I just pulled the pin on a Camo model, pickup tomorrow.

I'm Moving from a Rzr 570 after almost 4 years ownership.

I know it's not an apples for apples switch but I'm looking forward to something new.

The gearbox will be a change for sure! lol

Regards

Going from a RZR, you'll like it. I went from a RZR 800 and I can honestly say the only thing I miss is the better suspension. The power I rarely used except to go vroom once in a while-LOL of course I am mostly trail riding. Enjoy the shifters!!

I know this is digging up an old thread...
I was doing some searching on the 500 last night. It seems that some dealerships have the 2015 500 for $6800. I don't know if this is plus fees etc but seems like such a good price. I know that other dealers had them listed for $7399 plus $500 in free accessories. Its so tempting!

That is definitely a good price worth taking advantage of.

I agree except for the front open differential. It is such a sticking point for me. I keep hoping to discover a way to remedy the open diff. The way i am looking at it, I can hold out for a 700 or 1000 if no one finds a way.

It really boils down to if you really need a 50" wide sxs. If width isn't a concern the 1000 is a no brainer even at twice the money it is 4x the machine feature and performance wise.

I dont "need" any of them, its more a "want" thing. I want something fun since I gave up motorcycles and have pretty much every kind of gun I want at this point. A toy to mess around with..... The bonus is the county I live in here in Indiana allows them to be driven on county roads .

Well the upside is the more seats you have the more farmers daughters you can carry :p. Seriously though the P500 will max out at 40 MPH but really doesn't like 35+ unless you just love to hear the engine scream. The p1000 will do 65 MPH so if back roads cruises is your thing definitely get the 1000

Yeah, kind of the way I am currently leaning. I will have to keep saving as I only have 6k set aside now. I was figuring on late 2016 early 2017 before i buy. Just so tempted to buy something now.

Well the financing option is good. I just did a note over the phone with Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union for 2.8% 60 months on a P1k5d. Since your in Indiana thought I would throw that out there, if you financed 11k plus your savings that could put you in a Pioneer 1000 Deluxe for $185 a month. Tempting isnt it.

I am a cash kind of guy though. I am currently paying off a $10k mower while saving for the Pioneer. Wife is good with it except she is requiring I sell my three motorcycles first. I am so tempted though.

I have had a Honda 450 Forman ES which is very similar to my p500 and go mudding and poker runs all the time and can go and have gone more places than most and never once thought about the open diff. Larger wheel base on p500 will cause more high centers but I am still not worried I watched many you tube videos with p500 driving crazy like I do . It is capable

About the open diff the brake method does work on the p500 also push the brake hard and give gas both wheels will spin.
