Anyone own these and have an opinion- standard vs extra coverage. I have 27s no spacers. Looking for advice before I buy. 7c34a1f43484e788086a98123571d1c2

I used a different search and found some feedback for p500. Not as good a google so if you change up the search such as mud buster vs mud buster fender flares it yields different results. Merry Christmas.

I have the extra coverage ones. Love them. They have held up well to various trail scrapes. 27×9×12 front tires, no spacers.

Reporting back. I installed the xl flares the weekend before an annual ride - mud/ water / sand and also tried them at the hunting camp where the mud is thick. I have to say they work well and more importantly they keep mud and rocks from hitting the frame at the very bottom
By the rocker panel. Absolutely love them and the install wasn’t bad. I did have to the bolt at the top of the fender welded and mud busters mailed me out a nut to put on it since I couldn’t take it off great customer service, clean factory look. Didn’t do the rear as it seems a bit involved. The fronts cut down on most of my mud on my arm and body!

If you can buy thin UHMW like 3mm thick, it’s so tough! Made my own fender flaps to reduce the keerap and they’ve worked well. I extended a rubber (flap) on the bottom 6”, so when backing up over a stump if it “pinches” it’ll just pull the end off rather then pull the entire piece off. Held on with Honda push pins and stock bolt on top of arch.

Over the years have bought 4’x10’ sheets of black 3mm thick UHMW for a variety of projects, like cab enclose, fender extenders etc. Easy to work with and tougher than spiral nails..

@JCart would you happen to have a better picture of the rear mud flap you fabricated. I’m planning to make a flap for the rear.

Thanks kpm

@KPM,

This is all I have, apologies, not near the Dozer until mid March as I’m on vacation.
As I recall I discarded some factory plastic, none the less does reduce keerap flying forward off the rear wheels. Was reluctant to have them hang down low to minimize damage sliding over logs and other obstacles. Also they can divert dust upwards at speed, however my cab (at the rear) does limit it somewhat. Because of the Venturi effect of wind rushing over (and around) the cab dust is pulled up anyways (image was pre cab). Overall I’d do it again.
Cheers,

Perfect thanks I’ll try to report back when I’m done. I’m in the same boat waiting for some free time to take this on.
