I'm currently trying to decide between purchasing the P700 and P1000. Any major pros and cons out there?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome from Central Arkansas...
BOTH great machines.. just depends on how you plan to use it, and how much money you want to spend.

First WELCOME! Do you like to cut up on the trails, like go fast? Get the 1000 if you do and the turf mode is great in the yard, doesn't tear up the grass, that in it's self is a pretty good reason.

I bought a 1000-3 and love it, but, it’s real wide. Think the 700 or 500 would have fit the bill from a hunting standpoint. I need to widen a few of my trails.......

I'd check the specs its only 3" wider(factory) but its a good bit short with a roof installed.

The 1000 is more geared toward 50/50 rec/utility use than the 700 and 500.

Unless you fix the squatting with P1 or after market shocks.

Get the 1000 never look back. I had the 700-4 to slow 45 mph down hill now I have the 1000-5 66 mph. And the 1000 won't tear up your yard in less you want too.

I currently have a 700-4 and it has really suited us well. It fits my 4 person family comfortably and for what we do it has worked great. I'm very much considering the 1000 for 3 specific reasons. 1) If we wanted to take someone else, the extra room would be great. 2) The turf mode for not only protecting your yard, but running around paved roads in town. 3) Hopefully better down hill braking and slower speed. I am hesitant taking my 700 to a few spots that I have taken my foreman many times, just for the fact that it tries to slow you down but has trouble doing it. If they would make a lower first gear in the 700 I wouldn't even question keeping it. The best part about the 700 is it is $3-4K less then the 1000.

I had a 700-4 for 6 months traded on 1000-5, Originally bought 700 for hunting but ended up doing more road riding than planned. 1000 has turf mode so doesn't rip up my yard and quieter than 700 and now with the 1000 I can keep up with the in-laws. The 1000 is so much better to me and even the wife feels the same

I bought the 1000 and some friends bought the 700, when his family wants a thrill guess who they ride with?

The local Honda powersports dealer said they've had more 1000's come in for repair work (didn't specify) than the 700-4.
