Welcome to the club @Timber, Your going to love your P500.
As for your question. This topic has not really been discussed before.
I hook mine up to the house alarm system. Only forgot about it a few times and pulled it out.. :eek:
I would make sure you get the biggest chain and lock you can find. Be sure to hook it to the main frame somewhere.
Bad news is... if they want it bad enough, Well... Its gone no matter.

Seeing this is one of your first concerns, You need to be looking at insurance ASAP.

insurance isn't that bad. Collision and theft 150 every 6 months

I agree, I hook mine up with chain and lock under my shed, also have collision and theft for around 300 a year through progressive, Gives that little extra peace of mind.

I take the keys out of the ignition and park my truck in front of the garage.... Oh yeah..I pay the insurance. ;)

Full insurance and a 330 conibear trap set juuust inside the drives door, foot goes in isn't coming out
