P1000 Pioneer 1000 rear bumper

Anybody know if wild boar rear bumper will fit 2020 1000 3, says it is for 2016-17??

Nothing has changed other than colors offered, so you should be fine.

Just because whoever you talked to says it won't work, doesn't mean they know WTF they are talking about. They are only reading from website just like you, and likely has never even seen a Pioneer 1000. Only change in rear was insulated muffler shield as far as I know. My bet is you are 99% safe in buying the bumper and it fits just fine.

I have 1 on a 2018 1000. I put it in another thread that I thought it was u that was asking. So yes I I'm almost 100% sure it will work

@ronbarn I will be the genii pig, I have a 2020 P1k3 and I just ordered the bumper.
I talked with them and they said something changed in 2018 and the mounting of it but this was just the admin answering the phone.
I have a buddy that is a welder so if we need to modify we will.
I will update once I receive and have it mounted.

The only difference I know about is that a P1K-3 and a P1K-5 require different rear bumpers.

the tailgate hits the top of the bumper when you open it. So my question is the tailgate different after 2017? Can I get some photos of a 2016 or 17 tailgate? Preferably a side view? If the gate is different I can by an oem for like $50 or I can just take it off for what I do or have one built out of 1" sq tubing which is what I might do.
Let me hear yalls thoughts.

I have the same bumper on a 2018. Had the same problem. I took a propane torch and a clothes iron to it. Smashed it so it lays flat against the bumper. With the support of the bumper, my son(210) and I(270) can both sit on the tailgate without damaging it. It looks like s*** though. I just tell people I was parked next to a rzr that caught on fire. I'm more about function than looks.

@TripleB I thought about trying a heat gun and like a body paddle and try and push it in. I am with you about function and not looks because this is going to be strictly a 🐖hog🐖 hunting machine but I do kinda hate to put a torch to a brand new machine

Just make a bracket that sits the bumper lower?

I do wish Wild Boar would make a rear bumper for the P1000-5. I have their front bumper on mine, and I really like it. I would love to have one to match the rear, complete with the LED cubes.

Yeah I contacted them and they said its a no go and have intentions of making a newer one as of now! Ugh!
