I don't know anything about it, but I would have them do a side-by-side comparison and show you the difference. Also, maybe Google the company and check the BBB.

I'd be leery unless I knew someone with firsthand experience getting 'normal wear' items covered. Honda extended can be had for ~$465 (three additional years I think). It definitely doesn't cover wear items though.

Right, but wear items being Muffler (dumb I know), brake pads, and other typical wear stuff like on a car. Otherwise pretty comprehensive I think. Not to mention roadside assistance including gas delivery and a few other things I think.

$465 though....wow! I thought I got a deal on it for $820.

I don't think it's worth it. Those wear items are very cheap and can be done within a hour or two even by people who have never done them. Ball joints are 30 bucks a piece, the vice is free at napa, and it only takes about an hour.

Beyond that, has anyone actually had to replace any kind of wear item here? Maybe an axle? Brake pads will last for years and years.

Aftermarket warranties are crap in my experience, just ask most Polaris owners in my area. HPP is guaranteed to be honored by any Honda dealer in the country. Some aftermarket warranties are only valid at the dealership in which you purchased it at. All the Polaris owners at our local dealer have been told to get f****ed by the aftermarket warranty company when they have issues. Theres a reason Honda cant cover normal wear, they'd go under due to claims and dealers couldnt keep up. Honda is very good about covering stuff under HPP and it transfers with your unit, most aftermarket ones dont.

Yikes - $1260 ? US dollars ? lol
Not for me. But I'm just not a warranty guy anyway.

I would be very suspicious of anyone that sold me a warranty that covers "wear" items. RED FLAG !
