P1000m5 pre 2021 bumper vs newer version fitting?

I am looking upgrade my bumper on a 2022 1000-5. I have notice they change the style of the bumpers. I am wondering if they are interchangeable.

If your good at fab work, have at it. They are different mounting locations cuz they changed things in 22’

Here you go. Same thing! It seems they bolt up to the same holes. To me it looks like they made it easier to manufacture by just adding the brush guard to the stock bumper, while in the past it was a whole new bumper.

Someone else a while back was wondering about the fitment as well but I don't recall them ever checking back to let us know. The front plastics are a different design so I don't know how that'd work out with the older design.....if it bolts right up (I think it might/should)

Measure the distance between the mounting holes. That shoul tell you.

I installed a ‘22 Forest Edition bumper on my ‘22 Deluxe. It is the AKO number in the Post 21 pic you posted.

I can tell you from experience, a pre ‘22 KFI front receiver hitch will not work on ‘22 or newer models. Due to the upper design of the bumper.

Yes you mounted the new style brush guard bumper. Another thing that makes me think it will mount up is that the winch mounting plates are the same for all years.

Id say if thats what you bought, take the stock one off and try and bolt the one you bought on and let us know then your question is answered.

This thread is about the bumper not really the plastics. Not sure what yr yours is? But I dont think its possible to go from old style to new without some major rework if thats what your thinking to make the bumper work?

No. I ended up finding a newer used bumper on Craigslist and went with it. Then added shackles.
