You didn't buy a used one, did you?
I had a problem too. but it was because I erased my stock tune.
Once I loaded it from DJ it worked.

If I remember correctly, you have the Jackson Turbo. If that is the case, I don't think the PV3 is compatible with turbo ecm flash and I don't know if Dynojet is working on that or not. You will have to contact them.

OK, that makes sense.

There should be a PV_INFO file on the PV3, if it is missing, the PV3 has not paired to the ECU. If it is there, look at the PV_INFO file and see if it "paired" correctly to the ECU. It should look something like this (some items will be blank)...

Well that's not promising. Try this...

Attach the PV3 to your PC and delete all the files (even the PV_INFO) or do a reformat form the menu...
Device Tools>Reformat Disk

Then plug it back in, turn on the key and let it generate a new PV_INFO and see if it is still blank.

Yes, that PV_INFO I pasted was old. I think your PV3 is up to date.

You should be using the 1603002 stock tune and matching 1603102 and 1603104 custom tunes. If you don't have those, you will need to log into DJ and submit your PV_INFO file so you can download them.

If you have them, upload the stock 1603002 file ONLY, attach to machine and see what it says.

Post exactly what the screen says, it should say either "No Compatible Stock Files" or "No Compatible Tune Files".

I misread that. Numerically, 5.12 is less than 5.4 but 5.12 in versioning is actually higher than 5.4. You have to break it down at each decimal. the 5's are the same but 12 is greater than 4. Like Season 5, episode 12 (if that helps make sense of it).

You have the highest version that I am aware of.

No Compatible Stock Files
Then it looks like flashing the Jackson tune and then back to stock doesn't really put it back to stock.

DJ will probably be of no help but you can try. Make sure and tell them what that ECU has been through. Maybe they have a trick to get the PV3 paired somehow.

so i call dj today and they were pretty quick after i sent them my info file they saw the problem with the ecu that i have that was still modified by jackson even tho it was put back to stock. so they modified a firmware update for me to make it work. i have not had a chance to try it yet but i will tomorrow after work. got to say so far very happy with the customer service with them.
