Race Jug rack ( Fuel Cans) for pick-up

Any of you industrious types build some sort of rack for hauling multiple 5 gallon race jugs? I was thinking about just making a grid out of 2x10"'s ( or similar ) that would sit across the back of the bed near the tailgate. I'd like to make it hold 4 jugs and anchor it to the bed tie-down points is possible. Looking for ideas?

Image or dimensions of said race jugs?
-3 or -5 bed? Factory hold downs? do you mind drilling your own or fabbing other mounting brackets?

If those fit in a milk crate, get 4 of those plastic milk crates at Wal-Mart near school supplies household stuff. Wire or screw them together, then secure through holes to bed hooks. Light weight, cheap, and effective.
