Does anybody have any tricks (that really work) for keeping these b****es out of the SXS? I guess because I keep my P7 at 8,000 feet where there's no snakes these things have few predators. They've chewed through a fuel line on my tractor, the hose from the windshield wiper reservoir on my Z-71 and get into my RV, and I'm worried about the SXS.

I had kind of the same problem I would catch them in traps every night, then got tired of them so I got a cat and haven't seen a mouse in months. I've also heard that one of those fake owls work good

Lol, that's the ticket for sure, but I don't live at this property. ;)

Thanks sport, I was thinking more along the lines of a repellent that keeps them away, as opposed to something that baits them in???

I've got a buddy with big equipment that swears by dryer sheets
I learned about that last year and deployed them with zero results. In fact, I found one chewed up like mice do to paper products when they build a nest!

Now that's cool, I'll give it a go for the RV. I don't know how I'd use it for the SXS though.

I've heard a rag or to towel soaked in strong perfume works as a repellent. Also these-

Got that at tractor supply, same idea as perfume. Combine the repellant with bait traps outside the building you park in. That's what I do.

If you store it inside a shed ,start the tractor, shut the door and come back in two hours, your problems will be gone.

Thanks T, tried Fresh Cab before, no results. The perfume soaked rag sounds like a good try along with the bait outside.

It works,I do it every fall, and about twice during the winter,it also takes care of birds.
Ok, carbon monoxide poisoning. When I get a building erected to store it in, I'll give that a go. In the mean time, she stays outdoors.

Try using moth balls, they always worked for me,just don't use them inside the RV the smell is hard to get rid of,but on your tractor you could put them on top the engine where you have had problems in the past.
