As a hunter I routinely use a red light to get into my spots in the mornings. Was thinking of how much light would a 4" cube, that most are using here, put out? Enough to drive safely? Are there red ones out there? I did a quick google search and only found red covers.

Red covers is the way to go that way you can use for either, general night visibility or red for hunting, the only RED LEDS I have seen are used in flashing lights for emergency vehicles, never have seen a RED LED 4" cube or work light.

How about the engine noise? Have hunted 45 or more years, driving thru the woods (before legal shooting time) to set up to hunt, red or white lights should not make difference. Game is on the move before legal hunting time, just need to get set up before shoot time. Noise is also big factor. Usually roll down the mountain in neutral with power off If possible to not spook game. The big bucks are very illusive to stalk, all the rest just set there and stare at you. Bang!!!
