P500 Reverse light wiring

I’ve bought a Honda OEM sub harness to power two rear mounted led cubes as back up lights. It plugs in under the hood & I believe the yellow or blue wire is the trigger wire for the back up alarm (which I’ll be using for power). Any one else try this?

That sub harness just plugs into the cig lighter accessory circuit. 4 hots and 2 grounds...no trigger.

I use a VisionX small LED back up light, very bright, in center of cab rear facing. As I have auxiliary battery underhood I wired to that with a relay and switch inside cab lower center of dash.

Mine has a white beam.

I will have the plug-n-play reverse triggers ready early next week.
This ONLY gives you a ground trigger point.
Hook it to the light and + to the light and it comes on when in R.
You can also use it to trigger a relay. The relay will then be your + switch.

Does anyone know how much current the reverse trigger will sink? Will a relay be needed with an LED light that pulls 0.75 amps?

Did you already install the backup light trigger kit?

Cant speek for the factory backup alarm kit. But the one I designed for the he 500 can handle a few amps.
