Just put on my upper soft doors for the winter season. I can only shut the drivers door from outside the machine. 2016 1000-5. From outside the machine it will shut by lifting up the door. I have the 3D bushings on it but there is play from the bushing and the cheesy plastic door. The only fix I can think of is to put some kind of thick glue like silicone but something that will dry harder take bushings out fill cavity with glue install bushings prop up back of door till it dries. Wonder if anyone has done something like this or another method that I have not thought of. You can see by pictures how much play there is between the bushing and door.

I think some guys a loooong time ago used spray foam inside the cavity and then the bushings. Not sure but if you try the search bar up top I'm sure you'll find some tips possibly.

Good luck 👍

When i installed the up graded buhings I found that the top part of the bushing would slip inside the door. I made up a little press to squeeze the door bushing area together enough that I could put a 1/8 diameter oring over the bushing and installed it in the bracket. Not a lot of time on it yet but the door is tight now. Was also thinking if the bushings were in 2 pieces so the bushings had a flat area on both sides like the bottom of the bushing it would tighten things up. The pin would center the two pieces.

I'm pretty sure that RB3's bushings are 2 piece

  1. Looking to buy
I’m installing the oem soft uppers on my 1000-6 now and I am very disappointed in how much the added weight in the door causes it to sag. I already have the RB3 bushing but even they aren’t enough. Such a s***ty door and hinge design.
