Looking awesome. I too have the forest edition. I really appreciate you taking the time to post about it. I’d like to not shave the roof and they mentioned that it could possibly be avoided if you utilize a small spacer to raise it. Do you see that being a possibility rather than shaving the roof? I’d do it if I had to but prefer to leave it alone. Thanks.
Thanks! And happy to help. You could possibly shim the roof up a bit and avoid cutting, but the doors “seal” on the top pipe so there needs to be a bit of clearance so they will close and open properly. I am guessing removed about 3/8 of an inch. If I were to do it again I would take a little more time for a cleaner cut.

I had previously cut into my roof on the rear for another project so the terror of cutting a high dollar piece of plastic had long ago left me….

Best of luck making your decision!

Appreciate it. Im not afraid of shaving it down. I was just hoping to avoid that extra step if possible. My machine is at my other house in the mountains and most of my tools are at my other place. I have to lug tools to do anything more than a drill and bolt on job and was curious about what was needed for the install as I would be doing it myself. Looked easy enough from the video off-road armor posted.

I hear that. The install is straight forward. Getting the A pillars aligned and the push pins reinstalled is just an exercise in patience.

I used a dremel with a hand attachment/cut off wheel for trimming the roof. The bolts through the top bracket for the door were a bit long so I used the same tool to trim them off once they were installed.
