P1000 SATV tilt up windshield FYI

Hey guys I wanted to share a simple fix to a problem I had with my SATV windshield. The bolts on the top pivot bracket came off.. Sounds insignificant but when you factor in the 95 degree heat wave and field retrofit it was a PITA.

Solution:
Remove all of the SATV provided M6 bolts and install the same but longer. That gives you more thread to work with. I then used lock tight and 5200 Sealant on the thread.

I used thread locker on all my windshield bolts after a couple came loose on a ride.

You might want to go though and do all of them, it’s pretty easy going one at a time.

fwiw: Loctite murders plastic, turns it super brittle, don't let them touch.

The only screws I've had any issue with loosening are the two screws that attach the windshield mounting brackets to the top of the roll cage. I Loctited them and haven't had any more issues.

Update on the longer bolts with 5200. Very minor change but it's almost impossible for them to back out or loosen again. Just wanted to share this with you guys.
