Great pics, awesome find eh? Seen the titty waterfall POI on my map, but we too were starting to long for getting back. I will definitely bring wife back to see that once leaves are gone and bushes pull back. I'm sure I fought 1000 spiders running those trails, even saved a few hundred spiders for @lee
That's definitely the most spiders I've ever had in the cab.

Day one of a multi week trip through the eastern Rockies. I ride a lot of gravel and rock but this area is mostly dirt (=mud if wet) and them dang messicans are sending their hurricane monsoon moisture and it’s peeing on me rite now. No riding today, just get to camp and enjoy myself, hopefully it’ll get this doo doo over and done with without making a quagmire. We’ve been in a drought here and need the moisture but NOT NOW DAMMIT. 🤣

And I don’t know how to post a photo with the iPad - damn apple.

Close as I can get -

It’s been perfect for me. I’ve toyed with upgrading to a small class A but I get myself into some tight situations and a class A would screw me big time. All a single guy needs is a bed, a toilet, a stove, a sink and a dinette to sit at, to live happily ever after - I’m doing just that. :) I tripled my storage by adding a box to the trailer under the buggy, it’s 4’ x 7’ and helps a bunch (class C’s are notorious for lack of storage). Details and photos in the trailer forum titled Trailer Storage.
Thanks, Dude. 👍 #beers

Well...looks like I'm not meant to ride Pinal mtn @Lil_Steve ...

Went back today...closed until December 21 for cleanup and such. A large dumpster truck rolled by with mangled culvert in the back while reading this...

Undaunted, I headed north (down) into pinto canyon, past the big mines, near the haunted canyon trailhead (non motorized). New area to me...and As usual, much more to this area than I imagined...

Horrell ranch in the distance. FS road eventually goes right by it...

...then crosses Pinto creek, with lots of piping showing. At this point, it's a wide flood plain, and everything was showing the amount of water that had flowed recently.

The trail eventually faded out. On the way back, I noticed a faint side trail which turned out to be pretty cool, crossing a saddle in one of the ridges, and looking at the map afterwards, I'd like to see this to the end...

Heading back out, I checked out FS287 up to Miles ranch/trailhead. The road itself was passable by any stock 4wd, but the scenery was outstanding. The altitude gain and water in the canyons made for some un-desert like scenes...

Back at pinto creek, more signs of the water levels, and old growth...

Seeing as two different ranches need access across pinto creek, it's not surprising a bridge was built to Bypass the sometimes violent water flows...

This was a much needed good ride, and the 700 did what it really needed to do at this point; run flawlessly. Too soon to say if the new ignition switch has "fixed" the issues, but today it never missed a beat.
