Is that dog permanently attached now or can you take it off? He seems to be in every picture.STI HD3

28s will fit no problem stock. People have gone up to 29.5 stockMaybe a dumb question but why did you go with 12" wheels instead of 14"? And do the 28's fit with no lift or forward arms? Thanks, and looks sharp!

Do you think you have good handling stability too? I understand you are adding suspension with taller sidewalls, and I could utilize that too. But at the same time I run down gravel roads sometimes and the stock tires don't inspire confidence when I roll into a curve a little too fast. Even at 20psi they feel like they are rolling over. Just wondering how an 8 ply 12" tire would handle compared to the stock tires.

If you want to increase the effective suspension, improve grip, better overall ride on the trails, and a tough 8 ply - this setup might be the ticket. That's what I was after - so I'm happy with them.
If you want to improve handling on fast corners ... not so much. They did ok on the gravel road. Got me from A to B but these are optimized for offroad. I think the bit of squirm I felt at higher speed on the gravel road has more to do with the tread design than the 28x12 config.
I had about 1000 pounds in the back at one point and the sidewalls barely bulged (10 psi). With the stock tires I would have squished half the sidewall down and squirmed laterally.
Exactly why this thread was started. To give prospective buyers information prior to putting down hard earned money. Can't tell much from a description on an eBay ad.Thanks for your assessment. It helps me alot!

Can you post better close ups? What is the offset of your wheels? I like that they are made in USA.
Tire and wheel set up looks perfect. Are you running a lift or arched arms or both?
In that pic I only had HL 2.5" bracket lift. Front drivers side rubbed little bit on big bumps.Tire and wheel set up looks perfect. Are you running a lift or arched arms or both?
Thanks. Trying to decide between the 28s and 30s. I’ve read the 28s are actually 28.25 and the 30s are 28.5. Maybe I should stick with the 28s if I just plan to do the HL lift and no arms.In that pic I only had HL 2.5" bracket lift. Front drivers side rubbed little bit on big bumps.
