I figured you might like that :D

Is that dog permanently attached now or can you take it off? He seems to be in every picture.
Haha he's my go buddy. And usually is with me every time I take pictures

Maybe a dumb question but why did you go with 12" wheels instead of 14"? And do the 28's fit with no lift or forward arms? Thanks, and looks sharp!

28s will fit no problem stock. People have gone up to 29.5 stock

I wanted a larger tire without a lift - thats about 28.
28 tires (8 ply) on 14" rims is too much rim, not enough sidewall for me - this is offroad, not a racetrack.
It gives me more room to play when adjusting air pressure. With 14's I would have to run lower psi to get the same ride.

Also - I just like the look of 12s. Problem is - there are not alot of 28x12 tires so I might be boned if I want to try different tires.

I loaded the tires up to 20 psi just to get any stretching done. They measured 28 1/4. Took em for a ride and hit some bumps to bottom out the suspension. I didn't notice any rubbing but when I got back I could see where they had barely rubbed the plastics.

Running 12 psi now to see how I like it.

Do you think you have good handling stability too? I understand you are adding suspension with taller sidewalls, and I could utilize that too. But at the same time I run down gravel roads sometimes and the stock tires don't inspire confidence when I roll into a curve a little too fast. Even at 20psi they feel like they are rolling over. Just wondering how an 8 ply 12" tire would handle compared to the stock tires.

My 30" roctanes at 10 psi feel more stable than the super soft stock tires. I swap back and forth a lot and I can really tell a difference.

Yeah, those stock tires feel soft.
I haven't had these on the gravel road much but these tires are much more stable on the rough trails. They have a more rounded profile then Bighorns or Roctanes so they slide a bit more on corners but it didnt feel like the sloppy rolling of the stock tires. I actually like it - a little bit of controlled fish tailing - enough to be fun. Had less of that when I took it from 20 to 12 psi.
12 psi might still be too much.

I did some riding today.
If you want to increase the effective suspension, improve grip, better overall ride on the trails, and a tough 8 ply - this setup might be the ticket. That's what I was after - so I'm happy with them.
If you want to improve handling on fast corners ... not so much. They did ok on the gravel road. Got me from A to B but these are optimized for offroad. I think the bit of squirm I felt at higher speed on the gravel road has more to do with the tread design than the 28x12 config.
I had about 1000 pounds in the back at one point and the sidewalls barely bulged (10 psi). With the stock tires I would have squished half the sidewall down and squirmed laterally.

Exactly why this thread was started. To give prospective buyers information prior to putting down hard earned money. Can't tell much from a description on an eBay ad.

Tire and wheel set up looks perfect. Are you running a lift or arched arms or both?
In that pic I only had HL 2.5" bracket lift. Front drivers side rubbed little bit on big bumps.

Thanks. Trying to decide between the 28s and 30s. I’ve read the 28s are actually 28.25 and the 30s are 28.5. Maybe I should stick with the 28s if I just plan to do the HL lift and no arms.
