Well, we are almost into April and no inventory yet?

Does anyone know the exact reason?

I heard (from another company) that the freight trains coming out of CA aren't running, is that the problem?

From what I've heard it's a lot of the fasteners, plastics, etc. delayed coming in on ship from china. A bunch of the manufacturers I rep for work are having the same issue. There are tons of ships sitting outside of the CA ports waiting to come into port but due to covid restrictions and the huge influx of ships at the moment, they're having trouble doing so. There is also a shipping container shortage worldwide right now. SO a bunch of factors is causing issues for a ton of industries right now.

The salesman at the dealership where I bought my 520 told me that both Yamaha and Honda told them to not expect much inventory to arrive any time soon and that it will be that way thru the summer. He wasn't happy about it because he works mostly on commission. When I picked up my 520 earlier this week their huge showroom hardly had any sxs's or atvs, compared to what they normally would have. They did have some motorcycles. I asked him if they had their inventory at a show this week. He said "no" they just don't have any.

Its everything that wasnt being produced for an almost 6 month period thats trying to play catch up. That and the raw materials in some cases are even further behind.

We currently have no atv or utv stock at all.

The damage from the shutdowns will prove to be way worse than the Scamdemic ever could've been.

Was at the local dealer (Honda Yamaha dealer) a week ago to pick a part for a wolverine engine rebuild and they had a pioneer 1000-3, r max 1000, one dirt bike, one yamaha atv, a touring bike and a scooter everything but the big bike and the scooter were sold. He said they get at least 10 calls a day looking for atvs and side by sides, and with yamaha they don't know if they are getting any until it shows up on the truck yamaha won't tell them when they are getting any. He said I could sell my 2019 700-2 and get what I paid for it there just wouldn't be anything to replace it with.

Just spoke to a local dealer, it's not looking good this year for buying a P520.

He said he has 2 on order which are spoken for and was told he couldn't order any more.

There is always hope something will break loose.

Maybe they won't let him order more because it's time for the 2022 soon?

I just checked the inventory on the website for the dealer where I bought my 520. Its always up to date. He normally has 10-15 Honda sxs's and 10 or so ATVs. He currently has one Talon and no ATVs. I feel bad for the sales staff who rely on commissions.
