Did nearly the exact same thing as @CumminsPusher did and hit a water hole at about 35 mph and killed it. Engine shut off right away, ashamed to say I got towed out of the hole by a Polaris 1000 atv. Once I got it up on dry land we pulled the plugs and turned it over until no more water came out of the exhaust pipe. Put it back together and left the intake hose disconnected to keep from sucking more water into the motor. It fired up, dumped about 2 quarts of water out the tail pipe and I limped it back 16 miles back to the truck. Oil is the color of Ovaltine but no knocking or ticking. Time for a full fluid flush and snorkel I suppose!
