Yes I have read everything posted here . You guys have helped me spend my money before. No reason to stop now. LOL.
The latest spin I hear is 12" beadlocks and 28" tires. It sounds perfect for my style of ride. I had both 14" and 12" wheels and tires for my Rhino before the Honda and I much preferred the ride of the 12" set up.
I found some wheels on Rocky Mountain's site that I thought is a deal but wanted second opinions.
ITP. SD SINGLE BEADLOCK 4/137 12×7 5+2 MODEL #1228547536B for $94.99 free shipping.
I know nothing about these wheels
I have found the selection of 28×12 tires to be very slim.
I like the style of Terribites but they don't make that size.
I found Tensor Regulators for $185.45. I do like them and you guys seem to give them favorable reviews.
I really like the Braven Berserkers but I can only find them for $199.99.
My problem is I am to cheap to pull the trigger at that price when some of you report buying them from $100 to $145.
What is the secret to getting them less expensive.
Am I missing any other options.
I ride paved roads, dirt trails/roads, rocks and such.
I am open to all suggestion and will try to keep my comments few so as to not sound tofoolish. LOL.
Thank you!!!!

I've got less than 600.00 in wheels and tires. For some reason, the wheels suddenly almost doubled in price though. Don't know if it was the tariffs or what.

Your going to have a tough time finding 28’s for 12” rims. At 28” you are in 14” rim territory. Even them, 28’s on 14’s don’t have a lot of sidewall. Rougher ride, more prone to pinch flats. For the Pioneer that is unlifted with no forward a arms, just bone stock I think your on the right track with 12’s IMO. The Berzerkers look intriguing, but expensive. But do fill the 28” bill. I just finished building up some Pitbull Growlers 27x9x12 all for corners on 12 STI beadlocks and they came out awesome. Pitbull is running a 60% off sale until the 1st. Trouble is, the Growler would be my first selection for a lot of road running. Awesome at a lot of other things though. For what your doing, I’d go wiTh a set of Tusk Terrabites in 27x9/11x12 if you want to keep the buggy stock and use 12’s. You could go 14’s and use 28x10x14 all for corners. Just don’t go too low on the air pressure. 30’s would be a real nice setup, but you May have so minor clearance issues. I haven’t owned Terrabites, but they get good reviews here and the price is right. And they are DOT legal.

I have no problem buying new wheels for whatever set up I go with. I have a LE and plan on keeping my stock setup for snow.
I am now also considering the 15" light truck tire option. It seems to have a following here also.
My spend options seem to run from $800 to $1200. Quite a spread. I have the money, but did I mention I am cheap. LOL

Just get 14” wheels many more tire options. Another option is 27/9/12 and 27/11/12 Kenda Bearclaw HTR. They run large over 27” same size as other tires that claim to be 28”.

I've have 28 inch blackwater evos on stock 12 inch wheels. I like the tires but I think the asphalt will eat them pretty good. I've only put about 500 miles on them so far but I avoid asphalt as much as possible. I wore out 2 sets of stock 12 inch tires in 3200 miles.

I will be on asphalt quite a bit this summer. I am starting to think that the 15" light truck tires might be a better option.

Those Kenda's look like a great replacement for the Big Horn 2.0 on my stock wheels.

I run the Terrabites 27/9/12 on mine, they are very smooth riding on hard pack and asphalt. I have not been off road much but I will say, if you get in thick mud very often, maybe a mud tire would be best!
