I think if Mother Honda thought that nylocks were truly better in this application they would use em.
They took the castle nuts off the tie rods and a lot of us noticed they would work their way loose. I use a lock nut and a jam nut on mine

Nylocks are no fun when you have excessive threads to travel. I prefer loctite and or jamb nuts. Had a project awhile ago to suspend some conveyors from the ceiling with 3’ long allthread. And some pinhead insisted on nylocks. When you run nylocks more than a foot on crappy galvanized threaded rod at speed with a power tool the nylon melts and sometimes is totally gone by the time you get it seated.

True story. Definitely need to be careful with that
