Over 600 miles on mine. Just had apart last night greasing bearings and front and rear all looked good.

I have 3500 miles and mine and they still look new and it is not unheard of to get 15,000 miles out of the factory brakes out west where we can ride fast for long periods and don't do a lot of mud. @hondabob has 18,000 miles and I do not believe he has changed his brakes yet. If you ride in mud a lot, it usually wears them out faster but evenly or the front first.

Only 222 miles, there must be something wrong. Either the front brakes don't work and you are always using the rear only or the rear are constantly applied and wearing them out.

I forgot to ask...
  • Is it all 4 rear pads evenly worn out evenly or just 1 pad or one side worn out?
  • How much material left on the front pads?

That doesn't make sense. 680 miles on mine and pads look brand new. Lots of our riding is 70mph straights into 10 mph corners so the brakes are... Well used...

I have 1500 miles on 2019 Talon-X w/turbo. Brakes work fine and there is no noise from the wear indicators. Mostly woods riding. 30 - 40% aggressive. I try to avoid mud when possible. Does anyone know the thickness of new pads? I would like to measure mine to get an idea where I'm at.

Brake pads on my 2019 Talon are still ok, I should get to at least 25,000 miles. Mostly desert and sand wash riding. My Yamaha YXZ brake pads are ok at 20,400 miles but the parking brake on the drive shaft have had the pads replaced twice. The front brake pad doesn't release properly, the rear pad is always like new.

Just replaced all 4 they were less than 1/5mm, all worn even at 680 miles. New pads were 5 mm all the way around. Yes I ride in mud, water, dry trails, all but no sand, mostly 2wd unless stuck.
