Talon shift sensor

Hello! New member here.

Can anyone point me out to where I can find the shift sensor on this machine? 2023 Honda Talon 1000R.
(Maybe called another name? Transmission position sensor?)

I can not start in P although I can start in N. The dash does not display P when in P while running or key-on. I figured this sensor is either covered in mud and needs to be cleaned up or simply replaced.

The sensor that indicates sub transmission gears is on the front on the sub trans, visible from underneath near the shift arm

What state exactly are you from? Might want to fix that in your Avitar/info for better forum member reference.

Also, post some pics of your ride when u get a min. Avitar pic doesn't count😉
Its a rule around here in the form of POIDH and these fellas get bent when people join and dont do an Intro thread with pics.

What makes you think that? Whats happening?

I would suggest adjusting your shifter cable first and change / mod the gate to allow the shift full movement.
