Talon X4 car covers

Hello, new to the forum. 🤚 So with Black Friday closely approaching I am going to be buying a car cover for my X4 and figured I’d save a little and purchase during holiday prices. I’ve been trying to find a Genuine Honda one but they don’t seem to exists. Found on eBay one claiming to be, but it’s for a 2seater. Found some other brand covers on the search engine and they offer 3 different levels of protection. I live in sunny California so my elements to protect from will only be harsh UV, some wind, light rain (with leaves and bird droppings included). So the cheaper indoor covers will not be enough. Need something rated for heavy UV so only 2 of their 3 work. Just wanted to see if any of you out there have purchased a cover that your happy with, and what brand. For now, my Honda and kids Rzr is in the garage, but soon enough when basketball season starts back up, I’ll need my cave back.

A custom One hadn’t even occurred to me. Fit would probably be even better.. glad I posted my question here, I’ll give that some real consideration. 👍🏽

Well, I decided to just order one from the website and just have a Honda logo transferred over to the windshield area, but then I got this message...

Well after the long wait and even cancelling orders cause they were taking longer than the expected “back order” period.. I finally found an OEM Honda cover that I had to drive to Los Angeles (40 minutes away). I’m happy with the purchase and it comes down pretty low and fits nice and snug

I didn't even realize that Honda offered a cover. I ordered 1 (not honda) last night from Amazon, due today, using rewards $'s so it was very inexpensive. I'll post brand and pic tomorrow, if it fits and works.

The Honda one was about $170 from Del Amo Motorsports in Paramount Ca. I had a local store (Malcom Smith) do the search and they asked how far I’d be willing to drive. Most of the stores that had one in stock were over 35/40 minutes away from me.

Did you trailer it with that cover on? How’s it secure at the bottom?

I do not trailer it this way. It’s only an elastic type bottom that grips around the tires. I normally wouldn’t even have the cover in it while it’s parked in the street.. i had to play musical vehicles/trailer to pull a vehicle out of my backyard this particular day.

The cover I received from Amazon cost $72 and seems to fit OK. It also has elastic at the bottom, front and rear with 3 straps ,front, middle. rear that you can clip and adjust. I tossed it on last night without any adjustments. In my area I have a problem with what I think is some type of bird dropping (looks like small mustard splatters) so the purpose is UV protection and droppings with no intention to trailer. Cover is made in China

Ah. I see your in sunny California too. My main reason was to keep the UV rays from destroying my machine. I’ve seen people leave their stuff out and seats start to crack, fade, critters make themselves at home.

Well, the trade off to keeping the talon protected from elements is chaffing from the car cover 😫. Uncovered the car to take it out and realized the wind must of caused slight flapping of the cover and it wore into the paint.
Gonna keep it in the garage instead of outside I guess.

I wanted a towable cover for my X2, unable to find one I ended up going with one for a Polaris RZR 1000. The fit is not to bad, little loose in spots, but have not had any issues with it. I just wish I could get the Polaris name off it.
