The Elk Rut

I know this is a bit in advance, but I was wondering if there are any great places in National forests locations, to see and photograph the elk herds in rut, besides at Rocky Mountain National Park. The rut usually takes place sometime in September. Thanks.

Anyplace with Rocky Mtn Elk and Aspen trees in September, you'll find them, if your down wind.
Should be easy to find in Idaho.
