As a Ford guy I am not surprised at your thoughts. You might not remember the original, it had stacks. This is mine back in the 80's.

Yes 758 is aftermarket horsepower, the Hellcat Redeye has 797 and the Demon has over 800 hp from the factory and do not sound like a 90's Chevy and are way less than a 148,000.00 pickup.

None of those are in a truck, there’s a Volkswagen that does 270mph + and has 1200+hp

Hellcat nor coyote are a big block , need a big block in there.

Nothing today sounds as good as a 427/428/429/460, or 426.

I dunno...those SRT Dodges sound really good. But certainly, a 426 hemi has a very distinctive sound through open pipes.

I agree, I remembered them having stacks but didnt think they looked good then either. Maybe this new one should have a CB also and 10ft whip antennas

I love the way my 496 Hemi sounds except the blower kinda mellows out the camshaft.

Never seen a Red Warlock, all I ever saw was black but a Red one is possible I guess. I bought my Lil Red Express new in June 1979 and kept it for 17 years.

Wat engine did those have a 318?

Had a 360 A engine with 340 heads from 68/69 and a 4 barrel carb. The 360 has a larger diameter crank shaft than the 340 so they don't directly interchange. The 360s of the 70's never ran as good as the 340 from 68/69 due to smog/emissions standards that started in 72. The last couple years of the 340 did not run like those first 2 years because of emissions/insurance policies of the early 70's.
