Going to pick up a used 2012 RZR 170 tonight for my daughter. Wondering if anybody has experience with these? Maybe what to look for as far as common issues?

I wish Honda had something similar...

We have had the carbureted version since 2013, bought used. Only issue we had was the accelerator cable froze up and broke after sitting for a while. Can be a little hard to start when cold, but otherwise no issues. They don't ride it a lot, maybe 20-30 hrs a year total.

The little China quad has done a lot of miles and still doing good. Based off a Honda xr50 engine. The start/kill combined with the engine braking is awesome for kids. Had kids as young as 18 months no problem. Only a one speed but great for teaching!

We picked the 170 up yesterday. We paid $2600 for it. Brand new was 5500 out the door. 2012 and the guy told me his daughter only road it on their lawn. I believe it because it is incredibly clean. I’ve been looking for close to a year and finally got a good deal on one. In our area you generally can’t touch these for under 3200.
I figured I could probably get my money back out of it in a few years...

Ok guys I'm in the market for one of these also. Are they fuel injected? If so what year did this start? @Farmerjohn how is yours doing.
We have 12 grandkids so I'm hoping to get plenty of use out of it.

12? Your gonna field a field a football team in a few years.

Happy Father’s Day times at least 14.

I’ve been look at the 170 but daughters not quite ready yet so maybe HONDA will have something out in the next year or so. I ran the wheels off a 70 and 90 FourTrax when I was about her age.

We have really enjoyed the little RZR. Even myself (260) and my son (195) have rode it down the road. My 7 year old rides in nonstop in 80 degree weather day after day. I feel good about how safe it is. The kids couldn’t tip this thing over if they tried. It has plenty of power to get up and go and extremely easy to operate. Some say they are hard to start but my 7 year old cold starts ours all the time by herself.
It’s reliable and safe. The kids will love it!

Thanks for the info. I'm going to look at a couple used ones next week.
