So curious did any of you look at pitsers Lil Ripper 200 Long Body? $1500 cheaper than the 170 too. They seem to have good reviews but w/a little more room I can ride around to make sure my kid is doing the right thing. The 170’s here in WA used are still going for $4000 plus.... and the outset new is $3599.

Parts and service are important to me along with resale value. I’ve watched friends and family buy off brand wheelers and they just don’t hold up. However, I have seen people on here swear by them. Maybe it’s the luck of the draw! I’m 6’3 and my son is 6’5. We’ve both rode in my daughters 170. Not the most comfortable ride but we make it work to see the smile on her face.
There is a magazine article online that compares the two machines. Should help ya out!

I'm not sure about the exact machine your talking about. I did look at the eastern build machines like go carts and buggies that are available in my area. after looking closer I found the 170 would allow me to ride with the driver while learning how to drive it. also the 170 seamed to have a huge amount of aftermarket parts readily available. I also liked the protection that the 170 seams to provide for the occupant's.
I can get a new 170 for just under $5k, a 3 to 5 year old one goes for 3k to 4500. So I'm thinking that when my 12 grandkids are through with it I should be able to get 1/2 my money back, If I ever sell it. The kids love it!

The magazine article that I read on-line gave the edge to Pitster. Along with a couple of YouTube side by side comparison’s. From what I found Pitster are made in Japan.. on the razor forms people seem to like the Pitster better than the 170. So that’s only reason I’m giving them a thought

I know the 170 is produced for Polaris by an eastern manufacturer. I did search the machine that you discussed, it looks pretty good to me. I'm sure the higher price is for the name!

This little machine got the snot run out of it today! Only got it stuck a couple times in 12"+ ruts. I'm very pleased with it.

Ended up with the Pol***s ranger 150, as it has the geo Fenceing to keep the kid on the property and the smart phone link to control the speed etc and locate. Plus I can fit in it unlike the razor 170. They have them outside of Portland for $4199 out the door. I got mine for $4499 w/windshield, roof, and front and rear bumpers.

I'm in the market too for a small sxs or atv. If you dont mind, how much did you pick it up for?
Go with the Pister Pro, it is made in the same factory as the RZR170 (China) and is a clone of it for $2K less, and all the Polaris accessories fit the Pitster Pro (or used to) In addition they offer upgrades that let you bump it to 200cc + as the kids get bigger. You can find these versions for about $2900 new if you look hard enough.
