Tips for replacing fuel pump. 2017 Dodge Ram 1500.

Anyone have any tips or tricks for replacing fuel pump on a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500.
Fuel level sensor has become faulty.

You really only have 2 options, drop the tank or remove the bed.
You aren't really in the salt belt, so either should be really easy to do with standard cordless tools.

Don't think I've ever done one on that body style...but yeah, drop the tank or raise the bed.

Shouldn't be a problem since it's just the sender bad, but always check the connector for signs of heat when the pump goes. Often melts the connector causing a poor connection on the new unit.

Put a bigger pump on it and turn it up for extra coal

As others have stated, pretty standard process, drop tank or lift bed.

It's easier when the fuel tank is low to drop the fuel tank, if it still runs drive it until you burn some fuel out of it.
