Some results, some of which are a little surprising:

Part 3 hasn't been posted yet...

EDIT: Yes it has...

Let the criticism begin. In fact...I'll start it...

The Blackwater EVO's performed poorly overall (see 2nd vid). Setting a stiffer 8 ply tire to the same pressure as a 6 ply (see 1st vid) means one or the other probably didn't have optimal traction. In my experience, tires need a bit of squat for optimal traction (though this is probably less true for those flatter profile tires). How you would go about equalizing this...i really don't know other than just a judgement call by those conducting the test.

I think using a machine with a front locker (and using it, as it appears that in some of the footage they weren't) would have better equalized the the conditions. No word was given on how the pull track and hill climbs were prepped to equalize conditions.

One other minor criticism: You could argue that if we started a ATV/SxS tire hall-of-fame tomorrow, the 2nd inductee (after the golden oldie knobby) would be the Maxxis Big Horn. Why not include it here?

I just watched the same video. I'm not shocked by the evos. Rubber compound. Has a lot to to with it. No pitbulls? I really don't think much will do better that pitbull in pulling and breaking. They are soft. Real hard tires don't do well but last.

interested to see the fill list of tires and how they performed when done.
Agreed. I ride in the swamps so I am most interested in the mud category. It would be interesting to see which 25 tires were in the competition and how they did.

Thanks @DG Rider , good video.
